“My second was a shot of the lake with some of my favourite people. Simple as that. Getting the camera last required patience, but it meant that I got to meet every beautiful person who contributed.”

Kat is one of my best buds and I was really stoked she got to participate in this project. We’ve been trying to figure out a project to work on together for a while, but still haven’t really come up with anything. In the meantime I guess her taking pictures of her friend’s butts is okay. Sort of.

I’m a lady that can grow one hell of a pot belly. HOLLA! But it’s lovely and squishy. Still kind of dodgy when it comes to diabetes risk but it’s not, as far as I know, the super dangerous visceral fat.

Anyway watch the vid, fat and the human body’s way of using, storing, gaining it is super interesting.

In celebration of the approaching summer music festival season I’ve decided to do a limited run of 15 8”x12” prints.

“Festival Season” is hands down one of my favourite photographs that came from working Rifflandia 2012. Sloan had just finished their set, the sun was going down, and main street was bathed in a golden sunlight. In my opinion it sums up how the festival feels. Relaxed, warm, and inviting.

Included with the print are super limited edition hand silkscreened Rocktographer.ca wayfarer sunglasses. You’ll be the coolest kid you know at the coffee shop, bbq joint, food truck, or music festival this summer.

The thing that strikes me about Canada is the wildness. You could get lost anywhere and be in very grave danger if you did. Don’t get me wrong, its beautiful, but theres a raw edge to it that seems to say: stay away. Look - don’t touch.

Taken at the entry to the Straight of Georgia at the edge of the San Juan islands on the way to Vancouver. The mountains in the distance are a subrange of the Pacific Ranges.

I had a snarky comment about Australia and tiny spiders that can kill you dead but I’m holding it back because this is a beautiful observation and a beautiful photo.

The camera has made it to it’s final destination. I got a text this morning from Kat saying she received the camera, and plans on getting it to me at some point this weekend.
